Singing River Health System TV Campaign wins Maggie Awards!

HEALTH SYSTEM COMMUNICATIONS AWARDED TOP HONORS

The Mississippi Hospital Association’s Society for Health Care Marketing and Public Relations presented the 26^th Annual Maggie Awards during a special gala dinner at the MHA Conference Center in Madison. The Maggie Awards program recognizes outstanding marketing and public relations work submitted by professionals from the health care sector in Mississippi.

This year, there were 100 entries submitted from hospitals, health systems and other health care organizations from across the state. Only the top two entries in each category won awards, and in order to receive a “Maggie” award, an entry had to rank “excellent” in the judges’ scoring system. Out of the submitted entries, 10 Maggie Awards and 27 Awards of Excellence were selected. The judges also selected a Best of Show Print and Best of Show Overall.

Singing River Health System won a Maggie Award in the category of Total Campaign Effort over $50,000 for its “Get to Know Our Doctors/Live Healthy Phase 3” campaign. This is the second year Singing River Health System has won a Maggie for the Total Campaign Effort category. An Award of Excellence was given to Singing River Health System for the TV Advertising over $15,000 category for the “Get to Know Our Doctors/Live Healthy Phase 3” campaign.

Richard Lucas, SRHS Vice President of Communications said, “We at Singing River Health System have been quite successful in the Maggie Award competition over the years, and that speaks to the outstanding communications team we have assembled here. I’m particularly proud of this year’s honor for our ‘Live Healthy’ campaign, which helped us get out the message that we provide excellent health care right here in Jackson County. Awards are nice, and I believe the Maggies are truly special, as they are given to reward creativity and hard, quality work. Winning this Maggie reflects well on everyone at Singing River Health System.”
